Awareness is something we all have to be aware of. Whether we realize it or not there are things going on in an office that can be quite a bit of help to us if we practice awareness. It is true we can not keep track of everything, but it helps to be aware of everything we can.. Some seemingly unimportant things can hold keys to our success or failures within our accounts. A simple thing like practicing awareness can be a valuable help to us.
Be Aware Of Customer Reactions:
It is no secret that little sales can often turn to big sales if we address the customer's most pressing needs. We must concentrate and focus not only on the way the customer is listening to us but also be aware of their reactions and body language. Being aware of these subtleties can turn that light bulb on to pose the right question or find the right path. Being aware is such a simple thing to do as long as we remember to do it.
Advice:
Sometimes a company asks for advice when it is contemplating a change in policy, procedures or possibly the use of certain products. Be aware of this and use it to your advantage. If you are one of the suppliers that the company turns to for advice, make sure both you and the company benefit from that advice. Show your customer you are eager to be of help in any capacity they see fit. Make yourself available. Even if it does not pay off immediately your attempts to help will be noticed and without a doubt it will yield dividends in the future.
Use And Upgrading Of Your Product:
Make sure you are aware that the customer is getting full value from your products. By doing this you are setting up a scenario that can yield benefits to you immediately and in the future. While doing this you may discover new uses for the product. Perhaps the product is not being used properly. Perhaps the people using it have changed and new training is in order. A higher priced product may fill their needs better. Outcome, more sales as a result.
Saving On Transportation Can Add Profits To The Bottom Line:
Do not overlook the fact that you can increase business by saving a company money on transportation costs. This can affect the bottom line.
If a customer wants to keep several channels of transportation open , make them aware of the fact that they must then suffer the higher cost connected with this. Point out the savings connected with one stop shopping.
To be successful selling you must constantly come up with new ways to get new business and increase the business you already have. Think outside the box and you will find there are many different ways to do this if you practice awareness in your daily efforts. If you don't run in to them you may stumble over them. Just practice a bit of awareness
